Someone over here is selling these listed as 95 old stock frames. Something doesn't look right. The "welds", the dropouts, the (lack of) stickers. I can't put my finger on it. Any Raleigh experts care to chime in?

Are those your pictures ?

I ask because I am pretty sure I have seen them on here before - god knows how to find the thread they were on though ... :?

WD :D

those adverts have been posted up for ages, no? i think someone local prob asked the same question regarding these.

Maybe it's just me, but doesn't that headtube angle look extremely steep, or the seat tube extremely slack?

I'm far from an expert on anything Raleigh, but in my limited experience, all of the Ti Raleigh frames I've seen had a wishbone seat stay, none were fast back as in your pics. Additionally, according to MOMBAT, the Ti frames were only made from ~1992 (when JT joined their ranks) until 1994 (when he left). So, there were no 1995 Ti Raleigh frames to be had.

What's the price and where are they being sold? Regardless of the provenance the frame looks to be very high quality, nice welds and cable stop detail.

I think the weird head tube/seat tube angles are an optical illusion from a fisheye lens.

I pretty sure there was a later Tomac version (Raleigh USA specific?) with stays like that, rather than the common Torus with a wishbone for the canti-hanger boss.

EDIT: mmmmh. This is where I saw it: http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/670955/
Some later Dynatec look similar without the wishbone too.

I'm sure there were later ones without the wishbone too, they even did painted versions towards the year 2000 iirc.
