Yo Eddy for the 21st Century- update: plans for phase two.

Technically (wait for it...) for the '21st' century, shouldnt it have been re-inacted as carbon with 16" of travel at either end and weigh less than some dust?

Dust? Dust? Anyone?

Not too keen on the red components with the green but rest is ace.

Colour reminds me of the 1990 MFX Courier Comp :D

came on really well since i last saw it at the workshop bud, i love it :D

like mentioned, fats are out there anyway.......so this blends in perfectly.

That looks fantastic DrS,it really looks the business :D :D :D
Nice colour
I know many here consider it sacrilegious to fit discs on a non disc frame.
But if its a rider, whats the harm. :?

My thoughts exactly.
If i had used a mint frame then it would be a shame but this was a very tired frame with rust issues. To repair this frame to standard spec would be unecconomical, it would have been better to start with a better frame. I have saved it from being a wall hanger.
Also I missed riding retro bikes over the winter. The local stuff is far too steep and gritty for canti's in winter- rims would wear out in a matter of weeks, so fr the sake of preservation i rode modern bikes over the wetter months. Now i can ride Retro all year round!

you could have saved yourself loads of hassle and just bought an on-....

bang. lewis1641 has been shot

seriously, looks awesome. love the rs1 decals.

i am not really a fan of adding discs to an old frame but its been done well and done for the right reason.

i was thinking of doing similar to a 96 kona i had but wouldnt have been able to afford to see it through sadly.

hope to see it in the flesh one day

So the Indy and the Cotic will be going then ;)

The Cotic still has it's uses around the Northumbrian hills. It's all big forks, DH wheels and bash guards nowadays. It's just a little burly for everyday use.
The Indy Fab?? Mmmmmm. Not sure. It's still sat as a bare frame at the moment which is very much a concern. I don't know why but I'm not feeling much love for it. It might be going elsewhere.

The work looks amazing Si both the fab work and your spray skills. Proper job
