What do you love!

Yeah, it is mental. Do you remember when you could pick them up for a grand back in the 90s? Even great rust free examples were around under 2k. Only the splitties fetched upwards of 5k back then.

This one will make you cry.

I know a bloke that bought a 1953 Barndoor Microbus about fifteen years ago for 700 quid!

I know of a rotten split that might be available, but the owner swore to keep it until he pops his clogs. He is in his 90s so next time I am up there I will check his status.

Curses to the days I used to visit eastern Europe and saw bus after bus sitting in disrepair, along with all the old Type 1s, and did nothing about it.

Eastern Europe?

I could have given you a list of stuff I wanted!!

Really fancy a 60's Skoda some day.

I owned this from it being three years old :

But I sold it a few years ago :-( it was 'only' on a stage one so about 270 / 280 ish. I got a five page spread in fast ford :D You will defo see the car again though ;-) I sold it to a lad around the corner from me and its having a little rebuild, about 35k's worth (my estimate) I only sold it to build the car which the engine above is going in but it's not a ford it's a Dax. Still a long way off done though and very little movement over the last year or so :-(

And one of the detail :

The engine for it (pictured above) is quite a nice spec : long studded, BD14's, ported, dry sumped, 83'lbs, modified LT inlet, dizzyless etc. Should make around 450 ish which will be a lot of fun ...

Pretty sure ;)
Love them! Especially the RS500 models, although here in NZ they're extremely rare and very very pricey...

And WD Pro that is a gorgeous car!
