I'm pretty certain it's same bike (I almost bought it), maybe the luglining isn't perfect but it's a Mercian finish and I think they did the plating also - maybe someone trying to beat down the price?

Yeah maybe - its an auction and will find its level. If anyone is interested be sure to be aware of the buyers fees, can't help with that I'm afraid.

Looks very decent to me, and last time I saw it the paint was excellent, mind you the price was £1100 then ..

The price guide is 350-450 and it currently has a bid of 340. I'm not at liberty to discuss reserves. Buyers premium is 26.4% INC VAT

Yeah - kinda. An auction house is unlikely to dip much below lower estimate on first outing unless there is clear instruction to sell regardless.

Just doing my sums, 600 + 24.6% is about £750, which is probably what it would go for on eBay.
