Today's Ride

... it has stopped raining so I forced myself to do a short ride. Less muddy than I expected, most of the mud being from a previous ride. Photos to prove it, one of them of a red kite.

rode dalby forest, got wet, muddy and im tired.......and i may have killed some forks and seatpost.... no pics, too busy trying to get back to a warm car

Today-Sunday-We rode up the steepest paved street in Fairfax (30% grade) on the way to the woods above town. That is a good way to warm up on an otherwise chilly day- about 52 F.-Getting a bit muddy now, as the ground has finally gotten saturated after 4 years of drought. Four of our five main lakes in the Water District are now full and spilling ...

Brrrr... looks too cold for me, 26er Today-Wednesday-A sunny dry day after off and on showers for the last week. Nice out, about 60 F. The fire danger sign at Tamarancho we were saying should have another level below Low- Mud- fortunately it isn't really muddy on the climbs we choose to ride up...

Today-Thursday-Another sunny day, about 60 F. Last week I decided to clean up and overhaul my 1991 Funk, which I still use as my road hack. I also changed the position upwards with bars that have some sweep back to them. Also ditched the Twistgrip shifters in favor of Shimano ones that match the derailleurs. Then several hours polishing and preserving and voila! A ride to the Bay and back today for a shake down cruise- I liked it a lot ...
