Today's Ride

Friday morning action. 12 degrees and felt like that with the W 10-12 steady breeze. Solid grey cloud, not a glimpse of sun but the odd patch of light blue sky.

Headed further west to Carn Brea and the Beacon. Took in a few new trails to investigate and connect some dots. A good stretch of the legs before work. Now Bee will get a good clean and lube for Sunday's race.

Came up the "back" way for a much steeper accent.

The barley has taken off the past 2 weeks. Looking back to whence I came. You can see the trail in the second hill, right about in the middle of the photo.

Outer trial bank in the distance - a failed attempt to capture freshwater from the rivers flowing in to The Wash.

The Inner trial back - as above!

IMG_4670.webp About as flat as you can get today +/- 20ft elevation for the whole ride and I think some of that was getting in/out of the car.

The cycling window I had today coincided with a storm and so I was soaked from min 5 of the ride and for about 2 and 50 mins.

Just feels very rewarding after you finish a ride in adverse conditions…

The forest is usually empty when it’s raining and this time indeed I didn’t cross a soul apart from the odd 🐸 and the 🐌 of course.

Spent all day alternating between doing jobs around the house and fixing various bike bits around 6pm realised I had not really been out so hoped on this 'work in progress'. IMG_4590.webp

I typically take one of about 6 different routes around the park from 10 - 18k. I pretty much know where all the rabbit holes are! But although the route are often the same, there's always something different to see.
