Today's Ride

Friday means different bike day. A whopping 7 degrees outside meant no leggings so well please with that. Positively roasting!

Mild today.

As the sun was out this evening i decided to mend my puncture and headed out for a blast.

Headed over to a local hill as the fields were bone dry so was able to cut across them without collecting half of it on my tyres. The hill is not big, well it is for round these parts, but it has a few hidden trails through the pine woods, which though short are made to make the most of the situation. The tracks were unusually bone dry allowing one to carry some speed, assuming you didnt catch a tree with your bars  You can ride around and back up, but its quicker but steeper if you walk, twice the exercise :D

A great evenings riding, a nice change from endless trails that always seem to be slightly uphill.

Re:

Another glorious sunrise today. These early morning rides are the reason I'll continue to WFH if/when things get back to relative normality. A little light rain yesterday hasn't had any impact on the trails that are still in tip-top condition. A joy to ride and swing her about.

Forgot to post yesterday's ride. A whole 7 miles & 700ft ascent! My biggest ride in my 'physio' series. Paid for it today!

Another warm day so didnt go out until this evening when it was a bit cooler, still got a sweat on though.

The local spots were a bit busy with walkers and such so i headed out across country a bit into solitude. Thought i could do a loop before sundown, hmmm, nearly, but it was fun trying to remember where the roots are on some of the singletrack in the fading light.

A great ride on a glorious evening. Shame my camera doesnt pick the colours of the sky up. Though i did come across a Swan with a novel way to self isolate :)
