Well, have been doing a lot of walking recently as needed to build up that side of my fitness. I did though manage to get myself out on a bike today. Short ride but enjoyable as just went with the flow instead of any kind of plan. Ended up at Hardwick which was closed but as i know all the ways in i went in and found a nice quiet spot for a break. Bit of a cold wind so even though it was a glorious day again i didnt hang about for long. The church was locked up tight, if you believe in that type of thing then not ideal if you wanted to pray for someone during these times
2 is pretty impressive though. It's post storm-Cara clean-up work that the National Trust have started. That poor-old Beech was old. I gave up counting the rings after 50.
Don't let the mud, grey skies or lights fool you  After yesterdays hail the trails were a little more sticky but still really great. These daily early morning blasts instead of the tarmac commute are spot on and just the tonic.
This is the William Willet sundial memorial, the "creator" of BST.
