Today's Ride

Re:

I love it when you can look back at your destination on the horizon like that and see the countryside spread out like a map, it always amazes me just how far a bike lets you travel in a very short space of time...

Is this the hill where Woz discovered what a granny is really for?
Nah, this one is quite a bit harder-not saying the way I took Woz up wasn't tough, 'cause it is-it's really steep-But today's climb is almost, but not quite (For me) unmakeable. When I get to the top of today's climb, I generally collapse for about 5-10 minutes, drooling and sweating profusely-but with a good feeling that I still can make that hill...

 God that was severe that climb! Admittedly, I was a little chubbier than usual too
just to make it more difficult.

Great pics as always fellas!

Great picture! I can feel those hills calling me especially considering it's January and there's not a glimpse of snow to be seen anywhere at all... Can't say Woz looks any chubbier than usual though, but what he does look is lot happier than usual. Only wish I was there too...

Today-Sunday-A Stellar Fall day, about 70 F. with a nice breeze from the West. We went up about 1000' to the West to some fav trails. Stopped on the way back down where I took a shot of the Bay in the distance, then used the big lens to get the sailboats from the same place... :)

When I consider all that's going on in the world, the plight of others, and how little I need or want for, there are far worse places to be than out on my bike. Simple pleasures. Few worries.

Perspective.

Re:

Today-Thursday-Rode with Charlie Kelly up to the West of town today. We rode the same climb I took Woz up one day when he was here. It's still just as hard as ever, with an ultra steep paved road climbing up to a fire road that continues to climb with no flat spots to rest on-to about 1000' up. Charlie was stylin' today, riding his Breezer Repack bike while wearing his Repack jersey (A UK company makes the clothing line, nothing to do with Breezer) --CK did get a free jersey though... :)
