Today's Ride

Been raining on and off for almost 2 weeks but then the summer decided to return for one last day. Turned out to be a great day in the saddle. Never seen bumble bees and sunflowers in bloom this late in the season. Happy as I was little did I know this would be the last long ride on the old GT...

Got home late tonight after a big Oktoberfest party blowout, too much pork knuckle and beer. Decided to burn off the calories right there and then. Just got back, feel great!

Looks like the Petronas Twin Towers in the shot? Today-Thursday-After several years of drought, we are starting to get some rain. We had two small storms off the Pacific Monday-Wednesday, and got about .75 inch-not much, but something-hoping it leads into a more normal, wetter Winter :) It's sunny and about 72 F. today-Up to the Scout Camp to test out the grip-it's really good right now, and a lot of fun, with no real mud, either...

Re:

First ride in a week, first climb out of the village, strange, bouncing off the rev limiter. Anyway keep going, keep struggling until I get to the abandoned farm at waterhatch. Up to the roman villa and almost blew a gasket. Roll back down to the farm and stop to recover. Then I remember. Forgot my meds this morning

THM-Don't forget your Meds-Otherwise we will miss your posts! Today-Saturday-Rode with Charlie Kelly up into the Water District-checked out both ends of Concrete Pipe fire road along the way- One end where it disappears into the mountain to Kent Lake, and the other end where it becomes a trail and is pumped up Fish Gulch to the water treatment plant. -Really nice out, 80 F. with really deep blue skies...

Thanks Pat. Gentle windy but bright road ride today. Saw another nice bicycle. Then off on the loop past the old viaduct maintained by the local steam railway.

Yep, cool old Morgan-there's a modern repro by Morgan a few miles from my house-looks the same, but with a modern S&S engine. Even though I like them, they are still kind of death traps... --- Today- Sunday-A warm, 80 F. afternoon ride up to Tamarancho, about 800' climb...
