Stolen Bike

long story but as I got paid out and don't haver the frame number the police wont do anything. it was stolen in 1999!!

what makes me laugh is the advert as they clearly don't know what they have. I had it resprayed and put on newer marin stickers as I couldbt get hold of oringonal ones at the time.

also the mention of the really rare pace stem.. people use to always ask me about this even my local bike shop. its not rare or expensive its a kalloy uno with pace stickers on!!

would have liked it back but like I say its totally ruined now anyway

i had my clockwork stolen in cambridge locked with 3 d-locks but they still had it. But i got it back 2 weeks later when i was at halton woods with some friends the lad just rode up to us on it. It was painted black but i knew it was my bike as all the components were the same and i had my name stamped on the inside of the rear drop out. When i confronted him he said he owned from new and it was a birthday present . i said he was lying called the police while my mates made sure he did't go anywhere. It turn's out when the after the police arrested him they found 12 stolen bikes in the garage worth about £4000.

nice. I just got told it was a long time ago so theres nothing they can do. I said if it was a car would you still not investigate to find out where they got it from it was worth approx. £2000 a the time.

The bike was nothing special, just a Peugeot, but it was my son's first mtb. We bought it for him for Christmas, took it home from the shop and locked it in the shed. The next morning it was gone - someone local must have known we had just bought it, or followed us home.

Some last minute scrabbling around shops meant he still had a bike for Christmas.

Extra reinforced security on the shed since then!

1993 marin ift full m900 with p2s...outside preton woolworths fully locked...still dont know how they managed to free it

litlle b******S ill never see it again!

A mint 1996 Kona Lava Dome which I bought to use as a commuter in Cardiff. Stolen on the first night...only rode it once

Have faith......
I had a bike nicked 4 1/2 years ago on a secure campus I worked on and when I was working out the country just before Christmas last year I had a message from a bloke I used to work with there saying he was on a course and he'd seen my bike leaning against a radiator in the accommodation. He knew it was mine as it was a completely random one off build that could never be replicated, he'd used it enough times in the past to remember it. It was unlocked so he took it to the coppers and rang to sort it out. Here I am 4 and half years later with said bike in EXACTLY the same build state as it was back then but with a little more rust and cobwebs on
