My Condor Italia 56.5 c-t top tube 57cm, I've had this 5 years and aside from a quick tickle down the lanes I've not ridden it with gusto, it's too small for me (story of my life rgds bikes!) and I have to make some tough life/bike choices so time to move her on.
R531 yain tubes, stays and forks, in pretty good nick, no major marks, no paint scrapes and no dings. I recently stripped the whole bike apart and gave it a thorough (but not insanely anal) clean and relube/adjustment. BB stripped/cleaned and adjusted so it's nice and smooth. Wheel bearings run nicely already so I didn't touch them just gave the hubs a quick rub
Post and stem removed, cleaned and regreased.
Chainrings, removed from cranks and all well cleaned and crank arms polished, rear d stripped and cleaned, sprockets have had a thorough clean also as has the chain.
Brakes adjusted, the pads are old but still work fine (to stop the bike) after I sanded the hard bits down. I did buy some new pads but bought the wrong size
SR 3 arm cranks 52/40 rings, very tidy cranks with their shiny crank caps, there's little wear on the teeth so plenty to push on with. Attached are a nice pair of Kyokuto Top Run pedals that run smooth and no play in the axles. I've removed these and added copper grease to the threads upon refitting.
The previous owner fitted new Open 4 CD rims to the Suzue hubs at some point for some reason, and kept the galvanised spokes. Which is a shame because I think she deserves something more befitting her style. The Open 4s are pretty much untouched so could be ideal for a 90s/arly 00s machine. That said, they spin up great and run true. The tres are odd, there was a nice pair of GoldeRacer on there. But when I pumped up the rear the inner tube to 75-80psi, it went pop and the tyre had a hole blown through it. So there's a Specialized 28mm on the back and the other 28mm Golden Racer on the front that's in immaculate condition.
Mavic stem and bars, I've left off the original (Black) bar tape that was a bit sad looking and thought I'd leave it for the intended purchaser to choose. The original red bar end caps are there though/ Headset has no play and bars turn fine with no cronkiness.
Nice Dia Compe drilled brake levers and really good hoods which are supple and not cracking/split.
Dia Compe Brake calipers are in good condition and have tight springs, I've set them up fairly close and the stop the bike really well even with 15.5 stone on board
Suede leather Unicanitor saddle, sadly has some damage to it but still very much rideable and a lovely looking thing. Sits atop an SR post, a few marks but nothing horrendous and could probably buff out with some effort. The original binder bolt isn't present, it was missing when I got it so I've added one I had plus a second washer so that it snugs up tight. not the ugliest but not the best either!
Shimano Crane rear is in great condition, as mentioned I've stripped the pulleys, given them a good clean and also cleaned the bearing as well so they spin up nice. Shimano 50 front does its job and is tidy
Bluemels Mudguards are in great condition. I reshaped the large front flap so that it holds clear of the tyre, probably could take up to a 32mm I would think.
So financials, it's not top end but she's a nice steady bike, I'm thinking £375 isn't far off but I'm open to sensible offers.
Bike is in Letchworth North Hertfordshire, the other half is in a village halfway between Royston and Cambridge city centre. I don't run a car but if I get her something nice from the shops or take her for tea and cake in the arvo I'm sure she'd be willing to drive a reasonable distance, but obviously you coming to inspect is better unless you're absolutely sure you want it from the pics.
In theory I could post, but it's an absolute ball-ache to dismantle and pack to ensure the chimps handling the box aren't doing damage. with insurance it's going to be £23. I'll need to walk down to the nearest Halfords and grab a box anyway.
