Cool with the added stamp  ... Maxway Cycles built the new Raleigh, also they build Ritchy and Surly frames so maybe they build for Masi ? Raleigh also use Alotec lugs and fork crowns. The extra surface area of the intergrated tangs will provide greater strength to fork so it can handle the braking force of modern dual pivot brakes.

Mostly an interesting read, thanks for those weighing in. I'd got the impression these would fly off the shelves, but the manner in which they are aggressively advertising this on Instagram and Youtube implies they have a fair few left.

vcballbat, thanks for further bed time reading!

Rod_Saetan, same here really, I thought they would have all gone. Probably more to do with the timing of the release rather than the bike itself.

Re:

Apologies if this is a stupid question. Were all Team Raleigh 531's, 753's built by the SBDU? In other words did they do off the peg Team frames in that tubing for general sale, or only made to measure frames?

Thanks.

Here is an unofficial frameset unboxing video...

https://youtu.be/QS7W5mlWzQ8
In this unboxing video, approximately 1 minute 50 seconds into the film the presenter has SB 4059 in view and states that it...
"Mimics exactly the team bikes from the 1980-82 season"
Approximately 13 minutes 45 seconds into the film the presenter talks about the decals on the new Ti 40 and how important it is to get the details correct.
Approximately 33 minutes 30 seconds into the film the presenter states that...
"It looks like they have got some bloke from down the road to put the transfers on"...
Surely the presenter has become completely confused and is talking about his own replica bike SB 4059 with its truly awful decals.
If we take a closer look at SB 4059 we can see there is a huge gap between the Ti and Raleigh on the down tube and the Raleigh is too low from the shifters.
The font on the seat tube decals is completely wrong and yellow banding too big.
When compared to Joop's original bike these mistakes are blatantly obvious.
The new Ti 40 re-sized decals are a perfect match to the originals.
Raleigh say "Detail is key" ;)

I think it is more the case that fans {peoples} thirst for nostalgia has moved on and those who still crave it prefer the genuine article .

Both can be sought in this case and both come at a hefty price.

As the saying goes...
Nostalgia is not what is was but it soon will be...or is it?

Re:

Hang on ...
zoom 46 to 142, enhance, track right, stop.
Is that a sloping tube on Zoop’s bike?
