All I will say KIS, is unless you are there or have been there, you know nothing beyond what you are told by media and government. The reality is very different from what those who stand to gain tell you.

But people are pawns to be moved around and take the fall for the elite.

I only came on here to look at the pretty bicycles!

Just like to point out that I am very much a socialist.

Socialism will always fall flat on its arse when a proportion won't put in the graft.

The only forms of socialism I am aware of that share your own professed views on the underclass and exile are National Socialism and State Communism. Strange bedfellows indeed.

Hope they will both always remain "flat on their arse".

All this on the back of Cameron employing a stylist estimated to be on £50k/year as well as a personal photographer and website chief.

Good on him eh, distributing his well earnt wealth amongst others..

The country is paying them, it's not coming out of his pocket.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Tory.. far from it.

But when jobs are being axed and the country is being told to tighten its proverbial belt, Cameron spending hundreds of thousands on staff is a bit of a smack in the face.

Its just more sensationalised spin.
If we all really knew where our money was being spent, and more to the point, if we all really knew just how much the last administration wasted.. we would not be arguing about Cameron's haircut.

Its a shame but its inevitable that this turns into a tory/labour bashfest.
I wish I were unbiased. However, I do agree with at least trying to do something to address the problems we face.

I am not speaking about the last administration.. people are going to have their lives affected by the proposed changes, we are all (according to the PM's £140k/year spin doctoress) going to have to tighten our belts, ride the wave, etc. etc. etc.
Well if I have to, so does he.

Towns are fighting for completion of works already started and yet he can throw away £50k on a haircut. Yep... works for me

Who has a 160 inch plasma screen, certainly not any unemployed I know,so I can only guess that is also a part of sensationalist crap highlighted by a corporate media, a case of one might, so it stands all must more brainwashing no doubt.

My wife works for the council as an outreach worker - pretty much every family on benefits she goes to see has

a)a plasma screen tv
b)ps3/xbox360/wii delete as applicable
c)full ashtrays
d)take away menus everywhere

It's not sensationalism, it's the truth! Don't ask me how they pay for it all, but if nothing else there's always money for fags!!!

My life has already been affected and will be affected further as a direct result of the last administration.
IMO you should be speaking about it.

There are bound to be hypocracies along the way if the inspect everything with a fine toothed comb, its just a shame the same inspectors werent out in force for the last 12 years.

Besides, maybe good stylists are hard to come by? Perhaps his last one earnt 10million, therefore he's saving us 99%. Genius cost cutting.

one word......WORKHOUSE......

Silverclaws says he doesnt have any meat....you can afford a red mech bolt though cant you

My sister is currently trapped in the very system we are all discussing and she complains that she does not have much and only gets about 100 a week to keep herself and her four year old daughter, many arguments are had in my family along the lines of "you should have thought of that before you had a child etc etc etc.................."

But she actually milks more money per week than I earn (taking into account her 500 rent and 140 council tax etc.) and what about her student debt that amounts to 17.5 thousand  where did that money come from I wonder ;) and more to the point who is going to pay it back :x

Love her to bits though

I was reluctant to go there sgw!

I think the fact that people can just drop into a 'discussion' about unemployment, the fact that sending 2 1/2 million fellow countrymen to the Gulags would be a good thing.

Is a very worrying state of affairs. :(

We have no plasma tv or x box thingy and dont smoke and rarely can afford takeaway, and I actually work from 07:00 to 23:00 6 days a week and still struggle, you go and look up our local council estate at the newish cars and their living rooms look like a branch of bloody currys.....

Yeah, fags, I smoke, I didn't before this situation but I do now and it is a right bugger to get off, but it has it's advantages, for it quells hunger,as a result I generally eat every couple of days, never takeaways, but what the majority of the poor eat in the world, rice, bread, cous cous or pasta. The result I guess, is a catrbohydrate rich diet, I am actually eating quite healthily as my body responds to carbs better than any other diet.

But yes, your statement about families on the scrounge might be true, for it is kids that swing it, have kids and on benefits you are made, that is the people that are targetted by government and media, but unfortunately the singles get tarred with the same brush and let me tell you, it is very different for singles.

I was told by the council a few years ago that if I wanted to better my situation on benefits, then I must shack up with a woman who has kids for then more will become available, including social housing or at least housing of a standard suitable for the bringing up of children.
