But as to Clegg, his party better get rid of him, as he is a liability now for I suspect Lib/Dems will never get the support they got before or another chance at government after Cleggs complete U turn when in power.
I understand the situation is different than he thought, but he made a pledge and that obtained votes where there might not have been, so in a way, by saying what he pleged was a mistake, he has effectively been caught red handed with fraud.
Which all goes to prove his experience in politics is lacking for no one pledges anything they are not sure they can deliver, as pledges not honoured can destroy careers.
