Watched Kyle.. briefly..
He really is an awful person and his show is worse..

It just happens to be on for the hour following the school run when me and K sit with a cuppa..

Kyle no more.

I worked my ass off for 19 years - often doubling my hours over the course of a year.. at one point holding down my full time job (doing shift work too) and running my own business - having to do overtime to pay the wages in the shop knowing full well that while I was on days, a couple of the people entrusted with my shop were stealing from me and not being able to prove it.

I have no real objection to the workshy being made to put a little effort in.. it's only one month in 12 after all.. but see why some would.

i agree with you there but have yet to see any evadence of this so called "local community" and mabey this is the problem? as well as the unempoyed helping the local community could the local community not be helping the unemployed?

So apart from those who have posted their clearly stated support for this scheme on the grounds that some, if not all of the unemployed deserve too be treat in ways previously reserved for criminals, Does anyone seriously think these sort of schemes are likely to actually make any difference?

They might give some satisfaction to those who believe that a life on benefits is a holiday, but I don't see what else they will achieve.

The simple fact (ignored throughout this thread) is that there is a massive gap between those needing work and the work available. Even if this scheme gets some people (5% - 10%?) into work, which I don't believe it will, that would only push an equivalent number of other people into unemployment. There are only so many jobs out there!

Will it save money? Not likely. It will be a nightmare to administer and is likely to actually increase the overall benefit bill. For example... If someone fails to satisfy the demands of this scheme and looses their entitlement to benefit, what happens to any children or other dependants? Taken into care...expensive, left to starve or beg like their carer? Despite the tone of some of the posts on here, I don't believe we have sunk so low as to accept inocent children starving on our streets.

This policy has no other purpose than to pander to the ill informed tabloid Tory vote. Quite an effective and astute political move in the short term. But in the long term another nail in the coffin of a system who's only purpose is to exploit the workers to the maximum in order to maintain the privilege of a few. This will only change when all workers realise that they share a common interest in replacing our elitist political masters. While I regret any suffering and stress that these immoral and ineffective policies will bring, I welcome the fact that they will serve to further open peoples eyes and promote radicalism among millions of people who must eventually stand and fight back if they have any hope of freedom for themselves and their children.

Bring it on!

This is not prerevolutionary russia though is it

There are,in existence,an entire subculture of vermin scroungers that pick at the threads of society.
These "people" have got away with their sponging for to long now.

I have not said that all people on benefits etc. should be villified, only that the fraudsters that do exist, and in quantity,in some areas should be made to contribute something or to have their money stopped.

And then maybe we shoild have a closer look at the "Dissability" benefit system as well,I have seen people who are known to be on dissability, riding bikes and jogging and cutting their grass etc.also the fat people who ride around on buggys while eating chips and living off the state, because they have a "medical condition" yes you do .....it is called eating crapitis, and they should be made to walk about instead of riding and burnng no calories, funny how they can move quick enough when you let a rabid dog off the lead is it not

I don't think persons such as Lomos or Silverclaws are the types being targeted. When you work all your life and lose your job or you are retraining you are not workshy.
People like my mates ex are she never intends to work again (not that she ever really has) and has said as such, she has no ambition other than to do a little as possible eating doughnuts and watching Jeremy Kyle.
This and people like the Bardsleys from wife swap should be made to at least contribute for their handouts.

Keep going and don't feel that the rest of the country views you like this as I certainly don't, you will find something.

Carl.

I agree with the above good luck if you are actually looking for work....if not............well,you have been warned

marin man is (self) employed...

I had to Google Jeremy Kyle, then about 2 seconds into the first video on YouTube realized it's Maury Povich with a funny accent.

You ARE the father!
