Re:

Here's one of the Orange/Been bag made jacket I have.... any idea what year it's from?

Re:

I can't believe how good these jerseys are still looking after all of these years!

Unfortunately she moved to Spain for ten years so not a sausage left sadly :(

She's back in the UK nowadays and will be chuffed to see this forum when I show her and Dad. He did all of the design and artwork!
Thanks for taking the time to post!

Re:

Here's some bits I still own and me in the deranged shorts back in '94.

I used to live in the trackies that were black/deranged.

:D

Wow! They bring back fond memories :)

The Deranged gear was some of the first 'cool' stuff to be seen in during the 90's - the blue print was used for jackets and as a diagonal stripe in black training bottoms as well as the top and shorts you still have. We made a load of trousers in the all over print too but they didn't sell as well as the shorts, so we chopped the legs down and someone put the bottom of the leg that had been cut off on to their head as a hat for a laugh and that started people coming on to the stand at the MTB stand at races asking for 'the DerangeD hat'!!!

Many thanks for taking the time to photograph your stuff - much appreciated :)

Wow, great thread Corinne and thanks for bringing back the memories. I was in Newcastle butd and riding with the guys from Hardisty cycles and Dentons every weekend and they all had the bean bag gear. Pretty sure Plunkett was and Adam Robertson were always in your gear as was Jason McRoy. Happy days. I always aspired to afford some but never could.

Didnt you also do a post ride jacket, multi coloured?

What happened to the company in the end?

Hi Joe,

I remember we did Hardisty cycles gear - top of Shields Road??? And Dentons was also well known around 'The Toon'!

The names you mention are familiar to me but I know my Mum and Dad will def have some stories to tell :) I'm going to show them this thread hopefully this week and get my Dad involved in helping you guys out with some of the questions/memories I can't answer.

Sadly, the business folded back in the late 90's after over 20 years in business and two recessions. It was making my Mum ill and she was devastated at having to make the decision to close but times were too tough in the end :(
Such a shame as the product was the best quality and brilliantly designed gear on the market at the time and would have given some of the new brands around today a run for their money - with the advent of cycling as a big part of so many peoples lives these days and the focus it gets on TV maybe things would have been different.....maybe they peaked to early! Anyway, they had a good innings as they say! Met some great people and had a ball whilst doing what they loved :)

Thanks for your post - I will get Dad to have a look and hopefully get some answers for you soon :)
