Mean looking machine Kaiser, I do like it.

Question for you- with the seat post so high, do you find it flexing a lot as you ride? I have a similar setup on my Kona, perhaps more extreme still, and it certainly flexes when the power goes down (what power there is).

But this maybe is just God telling me I should lose two stone.

I can see how it would flex a bit, some might consider it a bit of extra comfort :) alas not with this one, its a FSA gravity post and is a bit heavy duty. Ideally I'd like a 410mm Thomson in there with a bit of layback. But that'll be a future purchase. And thanks for the compliment :)

ps 100% correct on the naughty spanner, if you have to have one make it a Bahco :)

Its no that idiot proof, for every pic I take I've got one of me looking perplexed

Eck whatya got? I'm still not sure on the gold and they felt funny when I was fitting them. Admittedly they feel hunkydory when riding though.

And thanks for the comments :D Eck you'll need to give the guys a shot of your bikes sometime.

Rob after much investigation I plumped for one of these

I had considered going cheap and chearfull and if it was damaged on the trail it would be no loss. The problem with cheap is that they can be a bit disappointing to use. I then decided to look into more robust cameras. This is the first version of the camera, a new one has just been released. The difference was £100 quid though and it didn't merit the premium IMO. Anyway it has a great macro zoom, is water proof, shock proof and dust proof to fair standards. So far I have dropped it out a shirt pocket and it was fine :) I've only had it a couple of weeks though but after some use I'll post up my findings, I had started a thread asking about them a while back and this was one that caught my eye.#

And its anodised orange, which is probably the reason I bought it  also available in Ringle blue :)

Well I can say the results are excellent, whats the battery consumption like?

I'd say it was good compared to our old digi camera. It comes with its own battery and charger system.

cannae see the pics  must change the 'puter settings again :D

Got some FREE WHISKY and a FREE impromptu tour at Bruichladdich Distillery, Islay, today :D

Berluddy cauld wind on the boat back this evening :xmas-cool:

SSEC 2010

Back home last night from SSEC 2010
It was a brilliant weekend, truly excellent! and it must have showed as I won some tools for being the 'smiliest' rider :D
It was hot sunny and dusty down south then arrived home to snow which has continued on and off today  Picked the dogs up from kennels near Dunbeath which was a slow drive through a blizzard.
didnt end up meeting Messiah but camped with velo and Zigzag with cab next door. It was a great course and a really good atmosphere. A good couple of hours spent on the ride out on friday and then saturdays race/ride was even better.
I changed the bars on the M2 to my H bars as I was a bit knocked around due to being medicated for an infection for the week previously so wanted to at least be comfortable and used to the set up. Glad I did as I hadnt had much time on the bike the previous fortnight due to the infection, a quick ride round the harbour to make sure everything worked. It was the right move as the bike felt familiar straight away. It was perfect to be honest, fast and pinpiont handling, I wasnt sure about the suspension as I normally run rigid except for my modern, but again perfect as it was so light and handled impecably, roots, drops, anything and everything. I was well pleased. I think I will ride this at 10 under the ben as long as the rest of the team dont mind me riding singlespeed. I was going to sell it and even had someone ready to by it after I used this weekend but its one of the best handling setups I've owned and suites me sir! So it has to stay :D I dont want to ride anything in my shed as much as this and will get down to Golspie for some more time on it one evening this week, and hopefully get a lot of miles on it before the 10 race.
I was worried about putting the H bars on due to the suspension but they seem to suite this even more than the rigid, which is hard to believe.
Anyway I'm now rambling after getting in late but good to see a lot of the clan were riding anyway, even if you couldnt be down south.
Belgium next year for SSEC 2011 so its maybe closer/quicker with the ferry, so whos up for it? Heather and I are planning already and Velo sounded as if he was up for it.

Jamie
