And today I did......

Weirdly I found myself cleaning and polishing the Falcon Pathfinder frame, one of the least cool bikes in my collection, also prepared a set of Balistic forks for it

I fear it may be seen at 10UTB unless I can stop myself, just as well my strategy only involves one lap

Got some FREE WHISKY and a FREE impromptu tour at Bruichladdich Distillery, Islay, today :D

Berluddy cauld wind on the boat back this evening :xmas-cool:

I have a few bottles of that in the cabinet. Don't touch the stuff myself but I always end up with freebies every year when they race at Le Mans.

@Velo, come back from SSEC a big man eh?? Tough words indeed!

It's all about the 050510 :p

Out on the road bike during a lull in the wind (see http://www.allaboutorkney.com/weather/forecasts and play spot the lull) and did a brisk 16 miles to Finstown and back, then around the eastern extremities of Kirkwall.

Out the Old Finstown Road and back in the New Finstown Road- why such strange names? And why is there only one road shown on the old maps?

Now feeling appropriately queasy and wondering why I have such a strong smell of ammonia in my nostrils- have my kidneys failed?

Oh well, I suppose that's why there are four of them.

Currently trying to avoid buying this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190388343333&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT, largely because I bought this earlier in the week: http://www.dv247.com/guitars/epiphone-1966-faded-g-400-ltd-ed-electric-guitar-worn-cherry--53536

Nice. If only it was possible to get anything in or out of Orkney I'd be hopeful it would be here by the weekend. But nae chance noo.

Ah yes - the lassie pointed out photos yesterday of the MD/Owner and his stable of racing cars and the special team one

The Whisky she gave us was "The Italian Job" - a special Bruichladdich edition matured in italian wine casks or summat. We got an extra sample for identifying Michael Caine as the original lead actor
