It is correct. The chain is too long, and it could use some top and bottom tension adjustment, all pretty easy and obvious. Keith

The reason that bikes like this were only seen at the annual cycle show is that club riders never bought complete bikes. All the large makers had a "lightweight" model in the catalogue, some better than others. Also there were very few recreation cyclists.

Looks like a Sun Wasp early to mid 1950s. Check the seat post diameter, probably butted 531, so 27.2mm? In the late 40s Sun still used their own cast lugs in better frames, Nervex were not common until 50s.

I believe most US bike rims around 1900 were elm. Here in UK our best wood rims were American maple, made with 4 laminations, and made in Paris. Around 16 ounces, and nearly indestructible. No shrinkage, no need to retighten spokes. Keith

Woz, Long spoke nipples are not threaded right through, that would make them very difficult when the thread reached the unthreaded part of the spoke, which are normally rolled threads. Keith
