thx tony - painting the fork is under consideration, gonna finish the current planned build and then stand back and see if that would be too much.

Now everyone knows that one of the coolest clothing items to come out of the USA are demin jeans. They look superb matched with a leather jacket or a white T-shirt or just about anything. The only thing that makes a pair of jeans uncool is matching it with a denim shirt or a denim jacket, or worse both.

History is full of warnings, some we should listen to.

pete - inclined to agree, the chainrings are ok but painting the fork is a step too far.

I recall back in the day, my forks came back from a warrenty repair and they'd fitted some purple adjusters on the top and that was the first bit of purple on the bike... after that it all went down hill as I had to put a couple more bits on to balance the look. it was like buying a bit of pine furniture, once you have one piece it ends up filling the room. ;~)

It's cheaper in the long run and you don't end up living in a Hans Christian Anderson fairy story.

Well I think its time to call it finished. I'll keep an eye out for a Ringle holey seat clamp but its not essential, a finishing touch.

Right I guess its time to get busy on the AMP F&F I have in the garage.

Absolutely outstanding. I have been watching this build since shortly after you aquired the frame and it looks truely ace!

I'm not sure if I should say this after you have finished it, but have you thought of blue cables at the front?

jonboy, I tried white cables and they looked gash, red was the final decision, no blue, no red, no white, no red. Oh I give up. They stay red!

walleater, indeed I concur, rediculous in an awesome way. Its not subtle. but with THAT frame how could i build a subtle bike?
