I've had Cindercones, Kilaueas and Explosifs back in the early '90 but always lusted after a Hei Hei but could never afford one - now i can afford one, I managed to get a frame. It's taken longer to build than any other bike I ever had and I'm still not happy with the ride. I'm going back to original threaded triple butted p2s to get the geometry right - hopefully I'll have my dream bike then..

for me it has to be a honda.

there, i said it. i know its not retro but it really pulls my strings. i got so excited when they talked about doing a production run. then mourned for days when hrc announced they had packed it in.

i feel so lost now. :cry:

I guess you know now that the SRP of the honda frameset was gonna be £6K

nice choice they do pop up time to time but are still pulling fairly hefty sums for the frame only.

give it a year of looking, then if you really cant find 1 you can say they're hard to find

this would fit you, & would be waay cooler/ rarer than a 90s stumpy

At the risk of sounding like a scratched record.

Ink blue anodised '95 Zaskar LE, but it has to come with a set of USE suspension forks. (Thet weren't brilliant, but they were better than RC35's ).

I don't really crave anything any more exotic than that.

A P7 would be nice, I'd like a steel Orange to go with the ally one.

Oh......and maybe an X1 or X2; or an RTS

Is this to tick boxes or to get out and ride?

I'd love to have something rare but I would be to scared to ride it, therefore it would have to hang in the hall, which would mean a divorce, which would mean I have even less money than I do now, and therefore I'd better stop thinking about this!

It appears I'm being misunderstood! I don't think that Stumpjumpers are hard to find I'm just surprised that it wasn't a very easy search (compared to, for example Exolsifs and Yo's), after all Stumpjumpers were pretty widely seen BITD.

By the way, who is this Carl fellow, I'm not sure that I like the cut of his jib.....
