November brings our "European Special" (excluding the UK) to BoTM, meaning the frame, at the very least, must be from a European company. All other rules remain the same.

Useful for the poll if you can structure your nomination as follows:

username's Year Manufacturer Model , e.g. @al's 1995 weird bouncy thing
Image(s) MAXIMUM OF 2
Finally please include a link to your machine in the relevant Reader's Bikes section. If you don't have an existing post now is the time to add one with as much detail as you like!
Link to all the rules http://www.retrobike.co.uk/wiki/BoTM_Rules

Nominations thread will run for the entire month of October. Entries submitted after October the 31st will not be counted. The poll will go up shortly after the nominations close and will run for a week.

Anyone care to share their wisdom of European brands - I'm struggling to think of many and convince myself that they are definitely European!

Depends on whether you consider the original retro brand in question was registered within a European country operating as a legal European business entity as the key element. Having employees designing, developing and marketing their bikes orchestrated from Europe. Does it matter that components are then manufactured/ sourced from outside of Europe? Does it have to also be assembled in Europe, I don’t think so… but open to peoples thoughts.

Lot of Italian brands famous for their road bikes were dabbling with MTB. Cinelli and Colnago spring to mind, and of course Bianchi.

Morati, Alan, Vitus, Sintesi... Plenty of European brands - looking forward to seeing some examples via this months poll.

Come on! Someone must have a mid 90s Scapin that they will be willing to through in the battle. Such nice bikes!
