Maybe I am the exception, I prefer Scalextric.

Plus 1 on the Scalextric - used to race some of the European 24hour races - not so much these days.

Plus 1 on 60's Aston Martins too - my old man used to work for the race team.

Only been going there 20 plus years and it's still as good as ever - try the smoked prawns!

I used to own 11064. The cockpit looked like Concorde it had so many controls
I got wrecked in the storm of '87 when something big and heavy flew and landed on it. The launching trolley went straight through the hull AND deck... :cry:

I'd like to build a n gauge layout, no time, money or patience though.

New one is much smaller and I haven't got around to any scenary on the actual track yet.

Used to buy and sell in decent numbers as well. Did have 20000+ at one stage but have thinned it out somewhat. First two pics are opposite walls of my spare room but didn't have a wide enough angle to get everything in. Second two are my living room, minus another mobile rack out of shot. Just as well I don't have a Mrs to worry about.

I'm not John Peel but he did play the odd bit of hardcore on his show. Deacon Boombastardizer- Electric Pantyhose being one I remember.

I have impeccable taste in music, as everything else.
