I'd like to sort the proflex 857 out I may try some discs on it later in the year.
I'm growing fond of the XPX so that might see some attention before the frame is sold.
I'm toying with trying a steel rigid, i've not ridden one since my old al carter was misplaced in 95.
I suspect a paint job on the wifes Kona is on the cards too.

Next project for 2012 - clear out a bunch of parts, bits and pieces laying around.

Suppose ive got quite a few itches to scratch the coming year..
First off im off to the Falklands in Feb for a month and a half with work, on return from that it's going to be a good few weeks of stripping out the shed and garage and getting rid of all the accumulated clag thats mounted up. My half hearted pile of lambretta bits that I was going to build a chop out of.. then there's all the cheap scrap bikes/bmx's/motorbikes my 13 yo son has accumulated from where ive set him loose with a toolbox to learn mechanics..
Once we've piled thru that lot, I think my first priority is fixing up the roadbike then building up my old hard rock for commuting duties.. then looking for a cheap GT Avalanche or similar to play with.
All subject to the curvature of the earth...

Roadbike now a rider albeit it in single speed at the moment although very much a work in progress more than a proper rider.
Half the dead bits and bobs have gone to the tip
Halfassedly rebuilt the Specialized so it's a rider, still bits to do..
Just bought a little Alpine roadbike to play with.. :roll: :roll: Missus unaware....

4. to ride a lot more than i have over the last six months of this year.

Would be interested to see last years thread about 2011 plans (but am too lazy to look ). Bet I didn't stick to it!!
For 2012 I want to finish the Elite and find a very tidy original orange/white Clockwork or Prestige. Still need to find a 1990 Marin Team or some other higher end Zolatone Marin. If I find lots of pennies I'd like another 1993/4 Vit T (correct size this time though) and an Aqua Fade Mass Yo Eddy. I will continue to look for minty originals and keep away from re-painting.
