Venturelli Palermo, the Belgian Italian

One of my early rebuilds, I found this Frame in a local Bike shop and wrongly assumed it to be Italian. i liked the look of it and decided to get it resprayed and build it up with a moderrn gearset.

As usual I took it off to Mario Vaz, chose the clour scheme and waited to get it back. By this time I had found out that my new Italian Stallion was in fact a Belgian bike and that Venturelli no longer made racing bikes. This is how it came back from Marios.

I decide that as I didn't have any forks I would try a set of Carbon Forks to go with the new 10-speed Campag Veloce gearset, it rode really well.

In the end I sold her to a friend to make way for another bike build, he still has it and I get to see it on rides in the Summer. My old Belgian Italian.

As usual I couldn't leave it alone and it went through another couple of changes before I was finished.

Really nice. Love the paint job. Don't suppose you know the official name of the red colour?

Thanks, I can’t remember the colour but will try to find out.
