Just got a new XT rear derrailleur...rush job as going away for a couple of days...BUT...by accident purchased a rapid rise(??) one in error...will it work with normal XTR 9 speed changers....?? The indexing should be the same, but pushing will change up instead of down...???

Yep, put a RR M951 mech on my GT today and now the shifter paddles operate thumb down the block, finger up..
