Do note, the snapping is on the 29er forks not the properly designed 26" forks.
The designed is there, so if these are 26" I would ride them.

based on the linked article, 26er v brake forks were designed to be strong enough for their intended use. 29er versions simply got longer legs and with disc use, are getting uneven forces and lower down on one leg only.

If your fork is 26er and not used with discs, it should be OK based on what the designer of the fork has written.

However, having seen this and having the same product, I'd certainly be more cautious about using it.

Tbh, with the amount of ringle stems and kooka cranks to name a few retro products known to fail fairly regularly, I'm surprised people still use them and that they covet such high prices even now.

Anything steering related you have to be confident with.
