But there is a bit problem, the TREK 8000 has no bolt which holds the brake pad in canti brakes.
Sorry to correct you, but I think you mean you frame lacks the brake BOSSES, which are holding the whole canti brake. The bolt I wrote about above, only holds the brake pad, actually this bolt is tweaked when you need to adjust the brake pad next to the rim, simple brakes use it often, TUNE, Real & other boutique makes are a completely different matter.

I think you can get brake bosses for suspension forks in bike shops, they should fit in the frame, (M6 threaded boss, of course) if not, a bit of tweaking surely helps.
I got the same frame, it's a bit too big for me I'm afraid and to tell the truth, Iv'e only bought it for canniblising its parts :twisted:
Anyway, keep up the good work and tell the kids, they're not short of artistic skills either
