Pleasant ride to work along the Tyne this morning.

Last stage today.

There is high water everywhere here after it rained heavily for the last 3 days.

We were lucky again and stayed dry. Now we just hope that all the trains are running and then the tour is done.

Ventured well into East Sussex...
Did 60 miles today over a 6 and a quarter hours in motion. Headwind all the way of course!

Road ride to Sandwich today. Sunny but with a stiff, chilly wind blowing.



Thomas Paine lived here, in Sandwich, with his first wife. Sadly, she died after a few months of marriage, but he carried on to have an eventful life.

Another nocturnal blast through the woods for me tonight. Goodwood to Glatting Beacon and back via the SDW.

Was disappointed to find that a cheeky bit of singletrack had been destroyed by forestry works, but I guess it will be rideable again in a few years time…

I have wanted to do a lap of my town for a while now. The bike I'm building for road miles is no closer now than it was years ago, so I decided to do the 32 km on Duck Norris. View attachment 854679

Past the golf course to South Branch and Boundary Road, called Grant's Corners, the north east corner

I sped past, made it safely to Boundary and Montreal Road/Highway 2, the south east corner. The river forms the southern border, United States is way over on the other side beyond the islandsView attachment 854681

I didn't actually go to that corner, it's under construction. But it's out there somewhere, I swear. Anyways, it was a great ride, could be better with some gears I suppose

Was out for over 2hrs and Google Fit reckons I managed 2.3 miles. In which case Google Fit can go **** itself, and has since been uninstalled. Cool when I set off. Warm when I returned.

That's probably about right with the photo stops (very good ones) lol
