To avoid wet feet i had to go high so two ascents of Bulbarrow Hill from different directions. The three mile descent off it was bloody cold.Rubbish average as i had to watch out for ice !


Milton Abbey.

Brass monkey weather. NE 10mph breeze, 4 degrees but much lower with wind-chill, 0 and under. Odd icy patch in the dark always creates some healthy tension Dark. Very dark, with thick high cloud around dawn. A solid week of running ending with a decent stretch. All the layers on so all said, kept relatively toasty. The night mode working overtime here, it was much darker than this!

trying to force myself to do more commuting, which is a struggle in the cold and dark. Luckily there is a mostly off road route into manchester and I'm cheating a bit by driving the hilly , roady bit until it gets lighter.


Unfortunately, its ending up being quite expensive because, when I've cycled down there, I end up here

Legs felt it today,think it was that North wind that did it. 40 miles with 2,136 feet of elevation.
