Today's Ride

Looks fantastic Mark - love the stance, black XT rinsg with the white and red livery too.

I can't tell what tires you've fitted there?

Thank you :)

The tyres are/were nos Ritchey Z max.

Re:

Sunny and mild 14, rising to 16 with hazy sunshine this morning. Perfect conditions, really nice and sweaty by the end of the ride.

There's one shortcut that someone is blocking up with debris over the past 2 weeks. Like a red rag to a bull, I can't help clear it every time I see it

Re:

Sometimes I have those days where my legs feel heavy, but check out the app and my pace is better than expected. Today was one of those days. Legs were screaming at me on the way home, but I stubbornly refused to let up.

The ride in this morning was a stunner. Left about 7, about 14°c, nice. Mid teens is optimum for me.
Ride home 26°c and fatigue, equals gruelling.

No pics, as they all came out a bit big.

43 miles. Rest day tomorrow.

I had to go to the nearby Giant shop to pick up a charger for lass's ebike so instead of going by car or the short bike route (approx 10 mile round trip) I did an extended Tyne tour of 37 miles.

Crossing the Derwent near Gateshead Metro Centre

Quayside, Newcastle

Tyne near Prudhoe

Destination

Hagg Bank Bridge - disused railway, now a cycle route

Wylam Bridge

Newburn Bridge

I do like a disused railway bridge converted for our legs and 2 wheels :D

Mild 14 rising to a warm 16, very little breeze, hazy sunshine peaking through high clouds. Definitely down to the regulars on dog walks and runs now.

Over in the distance on the horizon are the hills I was exploring the other week on A'ha; the edge of the north Kent Downs. I've sourced some Sugino cranks that should be slim enough to resolve the chain-ring clearance issues so I can get back out there whilst the Esatto remains out of action.

Bit of gravel on the self named pace rc329 trying to get into that there Yorkshire....but the tight wads haven't finished the river trail from Lincolnshire

Just a short ride to collect my car from the garage after it's service & MOT. A fast descent had me riding behind a bird of prey with a rodent of some kind in it's claws for a few seconds. Could identify it from behind. At the bottom of the track as I approached Blaydon there was the smell of coffee being roasted at Pumphreys Coffee House. Worth a visit if you like your coffee. They will also supply green coffee beans for self-roasting if you ask nicely.

Re:

I’ve not posted on the thread for a while, but in tribute to Pat, here’s some photos from an evening ride around Poole harbour... met up with some old friends on a warm evening and took our time... couple of beer stops. Anyhow, here’s the harbour, the sunset etc. plus an odd shrine in the woods!
