Re:

Pastures new.

Late afternoon. 23°c - just on the edge of comfortable. Breeze - heading West towards home.

Did a large loop around Stansted airport totalling just over 25 miles.
Misjudged the route I was going to take which, it appears, would have come in at about 40 miles. Fortunately time caught up and I decided to start making my way home at about 12 miles out.
Lovely ride. Saw very few people, bonus. All the villages and hamlets I passed through were quiet.
Most of the ride home was into a headwind.

Used to live in the Farm at end of the runway :)

Re:

Warmest morning for a while at a scorching 12 degrees  Went for a run yesterday so nice to be back in the saddle today. The legs were feeling good and the trails are getting better and better. Just the one shot of the rhodi tunnel. I rarely go down this bit as it's too straight and boring. They've done a ton of cutting back as they'd gotten much too big.

No pic's today but blimey - short sleeves! What a wonderful morning and got a proper sweat on with plenty of arm and leg scratches as the greenery tries to take over the trails.

Re:

As I waited for a walker to get to the top, I took a picture of one of the trails I use. This is as gnarly as it gets

That said it was a great ride this morning although nature is doing it's best to pick a fight <warning, pasty white man alert>:

Speaking of fights, I got called the c-bomb which is always a win

Yesterday evening's effort, heading up the Ridgeway out of Wallingford before looping round to Park corner and back down again. ~22 miles, and largely quiet which was nice!

Spot the Chinook! :D

Still loving this old thing. Although I wish the chain would stay put on the bumpy downhill sections.
