Merely an observation commensurate with the pop music lifestyle....

This seemed to be a suggestion that pop stars do a little more than average Joe. Forgive my error.

Anyone shot in harsh light is going to have exaggerated pores and lines. It is a technique used by tabloids when attempting to portray 'celebs' at their 'worst'.

Power to her that she was not arsed about how she appeared in that scenario, refusing to bow to the pressure from those who haven't moved on from their teen wet dream idealization.

If someone never encountered an image of her in the intervening 25 plus years they clearly were not really a fan; and perhaps they ought to remember when they were stroking their pet to images of these women they were out there making art whilst looking amazing.

Same with Blondie.

Even were they not so classically seductive and pouty, the likes of Toyah and Hynde also made great strides for powerful women in music.

Could it be the OP was hopeful they might have somehow acquired the charisma and gravitas to be irresistible to their erstwhile pinup dream, only to find they are disgusted by the idea that other people age as well, and perhaps are now beneath their consideration?

Or is it a case of an old fart perving over young lassies, and being disgusted by beautiful, powerful mature women?

Wonderfully eloquent post. I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in that recent pic. Great bone structure ages well and she still caries that haughty air that only a beautiful confident woman can, irrespective of age. Honor Blackman - still gorgeous at 91

Perhaps other people have different thoughts on old men talking like News Of The World columnists, and find it all a little body fascist and rather inappropriate given she likely looks a whole lot more palatable than you do in the buff, and probably shall do for many years yet.

Before all the accusations of lacking humour, etc., just try to explain why firing up images of people looking pretty much natural and suggesting they have somehow succumbed to the ravages of drug addiction merely because they are not covered in make up is so freaking hilarious.

If disagreeing with that sentiment marks me as one of the 'usual suspects', then I am happy to sign up to that.

Rather that than be one of the cliched, hackneyed old farts who are completely without a scintilla of self realisation.

Well I ken what one you would be partial tae..

Ah, which of the people who wrote both of the above is the real you?

If you think it's wrong to talk like a NOTW columnist and inappropriate to be a body fascist, why do you think it's appropriate to try to insult with homophobic abuse? Isn't that a bit, well, cliched?

You're not so right on and all new man as you make yourself out to be.

Me? I don't give a monkey's feck what you think I am, if it gets on your tits, job done.

I'm glad you added her age and not asked me how old she is in that pic, I'd be well off the mark.
She's still a bloody good looking woman

Insults in the form of questions. Very sophisticated and provocative. Yawn.

I'm not going to go into my credentials concerning women, their history and developing role in society. Have a read of my posts on the thread before you play the indignant inflammatory defender.

Pathetic.

Do not feed the troll.
