Re: Re:
This seemed to be a suggestion that pop stars do a little more than average Joe. Forgive my error.
Anyone shot in harsh light is going to have exaggerated pores and lines. It is a technique used by tabloids when attempting to portray 'celebs' at their 'worst'.
Power to her that she was not arsed about how she appeared in that scenario, refusing to bow to the pressure from those who haven't moved on from their teen wet dream idealization.
If someone never encountered an image of her in the intervening 25 plus years they clearly were not really a fan; and perhaps they ought to remember when they were stroking their pet to images of these women they were out there making art whilst looking amazing.
Same with Blondie.
Even were they not so classically seductive and pouty, the likes of Toyah and Hynde also made great strides for powerful women in music.
Could it be the OP was hopeful they might have somehow acquired the charisma and gravitas to be irresistible to their erstwhile pinup dream, only to find they are disgusted by the idea that other people age as well, and perhaps are now beneath their consideration?
Or is it a case of an old fart perving over young lassies, and being disgusted by beautiful, powerful mature women?
