Syncros Revolution Cranks - Generational Differences?

ring will be their "Zicral" Aluminium alloy (also used for the long stem bolt among other things)
Behind that is probably the more important part, the washer an oilite* bronze washer that the bolt pushes against.

* I assume it is oilite, it's one of them lube impregnated things, like bushings.

From the catalogue pictures, the finish is gloss in 1992-94. 1995 is missing. Starting in 1996, the finish seems satin. From this thread [1], the early ones were made of Columbus Nivacrom and more prone to crack than the True Temper OX3 ones. Presumably, the gloss ones are the Colombus flavour and the satin ones the True Temper model. 1994 is the first year True Temper is advertised in the catalog. But the finish is still gloss to me (unless it's an outdated picture, as in the 1993 catalog with the same picture than in the 1992 one).
