Description from the seller:

"2000 Kona Score Titanium mountain bike. Pretty rare.
Only 10 were produced out of 100. I believe there was 50 15”, 40 17” and 10 18”. I have a set of factory stickers minus the head tube sticker. 26” wheels with Chris king hubs, and king head set. Thompson titanium riser bar, titanium 80mm stem, xtr m970 crank, xtr cassette, front and rear derailleur and xtr shifters. Fox talas 32, 100 to 140 fork. Might need a service due to the talas portion not adjusting properly. Works well otherwise. Deore brakes."

What a beaut, and with some nice kit. You could buy it and ride it immediately 👍

This makes it another of the 18" that didn't exist but did exist 😂;), the 4th on record in fact. I wonder if it really was as low as 10, running from #160 to 170. It could well be...

A little less than a year ago I got to know the Kona brand. In April I started collecting Retro Kona. Since then I have bought 12 Konas, more than 50 jerseys, almost all the catalogs and a lot of merch.

Three classic Kona Ti bikes are enough for the first year, what else should I buy next year?

I was also just offered a 98 Hot Stars n Bars, you can't have them all at the same time.

Didn't we find out that the score is always way too small for me?

Cross posting alert.

I'm toying with the idea of producing a weekly IG post of new editions to the list, should there be any in that given week. The post would contain a picture (not the SN) with a brief summary of what it is, calling out any oddities, differences or historical points of note.

The purpose of this approach is to increase awareness of these incredible bikes, and widen the net to capture new stories and knowledge, and broaden and strengthen our network of investigators.

Retrobike (and the offline spreadsheet) would remain the primary port of call for the lists.

What do you think? Your feedback is welcome.
