Silverfish 1993 Manitou FS

Onza were the first clipless pedals I ever tried. Never found them too much of an issue from memory (South Wales), but did move over to Shimano and never looked back...

They certainly suit the (non) cracking Manitou you have! What an amazing build. These looked SO cool BITD and still do .

Almost bought a Manitou HT instead of the more common Zaskar I got, but so glad I didn't because of all cracking issues that came to light. However I did buy one of those lovely Manitou stems you have and guess what, it cracked!

To be fair - most stuff cracked back then. Especially early to mid 90's. We all went crazy lightweight - spent a small fortune on fancy cranks and brakes and stems - but a lot of it just didn't hold up that well to the abuse. Things got (mostly) better from the mid 90's onwards...

Extremely, extremely lovely.
And as far as I've found, Onza pedals have served me fine for 30-years and are easy to rebuild. And they have been very kind to my damaged knees (which are also very 90's style fragile and crack-tastic).
