But do you trust the Chinese when it comes to the correct pronunciation of a word meaning Tibet, surely its more right on to call it Bod as that is the Tibetan word for Tibet?

I'm not speaking the word out loud, just typing it on here, so I'll stick with 'Tibet'. Fascinating language though.

'Xīzàng' is how the Chinese word appears in Pinyin, therefore I've always assumed it follows that, to go along with the use of other names that are linked to the Himalaya Range. So do we go for the local/indigenous pronunciation or a westernised version? Perhaps the only way would be to get a GT employee from back in the late 80's/early 90's to clarify.

No idea on numbers, but I've often wondered about the rarity of the 1990 Xizang in particular. I would love to build one of those up to catalogue specification.
