26 years after owning my first Kona Koa, here's my second one, upgraded with Z1s, XT, and some other 90s kit (Mavic 231s, Selle San Marco racing pro Ti no slip saddle, Thomson seatpost, Michelin Wild Grippers Super Sprint 1.75s Green)...and XT modern gearing.

Took a while to complete after my first Koa was taken in 2003, but we got there in the end nice to be back on an MTB again.

I've wanted to get a Kilauaea or Explosif and re-paint it with the green of the 92 Fire Mountain, but somehow felt dirty about it. Thanks to y'all I no longer carry that shame and I'm all in.

I’m currently sourcing parts for my 99’ Stinky dee Lux rebuild. Parts I have so far.
Also manages to get some Hope DH4 disc brakes which I was chuffed about.

No they’re original ones. Frames getting a full strip down and respray at some point. Then invisframe the new paint work. Those are the only stickers I came across.

It is in places but has a fair few chips. May as well do it properly
