I’m enjoying following your build and how you are putting your own take on this bike. I don’t have much knowledge of the history of these other than liking and owning one. I did have a Vengeance too that had been built up as a single speed - was the most profitable flip I ever had and I still kept the frame! Don’t think I ever posted mine in a build thread but found an old photo so hope you don’t mind here’s what I did with mine. Can remove if you’d rather I didn’t post it here.

I find the selection of parts on your Edge inspiring and very purposeful, It definitely looks the business.
This afternoon was spent doing dog maintenance, lube, oil change, paw rotation, removing the winter undercoat, and verifying chassis alignment.
All good and a bath in the morning.
The rear derailleur long cage conversion is waiting for 1 part and its holding up the whole project so after this post I'm going quiet until the part arrives (if that's even possible).

Do you know how many of the GT superbikes(track and TT) were built and still exist? . Frames and/or complete bikes.
If i was mr moneybags i would have a few iconic track bikes like GT superbike, London 2012 team GB track bike, a FES track bike with the curved tubes, a Lotus track bike, etc . I really like some of the modern stuff, too, like the Hope bikes and Ganna's hour bike. It is the engineering and boundry pushing i dig and the cleaner lines of track bikes show it off better.

I really have no idea how many of the olympic bikes are left, there are 4 maybe 5 with online presence two or three restored and being ridden and the rest waiting for something to happen like waiting for the holy grail fork to show up.
There were three variants...
Superbike 1. Aluminum geared time trial bike, rumored production of 36 each.
Superbike 2. Carbon fiber wonder, rumored production of 8 each.
Superbike 3. Aluminum track variant of Superbike 1, production unknown, but most likely similar to Superbike 1 (my best guess).
So... If these were complete bikes and we assume spare frames were built the total production of all the aluminum frames both Superbike's 1&3 might be close to 100 works bike frames of various types and sizes.
This was a bet that fame and fortune would be won at Atlanta 96 and the production bikes would fly out the door bought by people who wanted a reasonable facsimile of the Olympic gold...
