Show us your 700C ATB / MTB / Hybrid

I've changed a few things since this photo was taken (bar ends and grips mainly).
I might take another photo once I do some changes...
Are the wheels 26" and have you considered 700c or 650b wheels? Since you have disc brakes you have free range to whatever.

They are 26". I prefer a low BB height.😉
Even so, I put it up because I still consider it a hybrid conversion.
The funny thing is, a few weeks ago, I was riding along a bike track and a little kid said to me:
"Road bikes are for the road!".
I didn't acknowledge/answer.
Cheekiness aside, is this what young kids think a road bike looks like these days?😕

Regarding the wheels, I don't own anything with 27.5, I'm still kinda miffed about the whole thing changing over willy-nilly.

I put the front spokes on the back, put DT Swiss revolutions on the front, put all new nipples in.
Considering their age, the wheels are holding up well, I don't see any reason to change.🤷‍♂️
It is hard to find slicks for 26er wheels now, yes.😟☹️

Oh those silly kids thinking they know everything. Bless his ignorant little heart...as he has never seen A Sunday In Hell, or other classic movies like it which clearly show stages of the tour going over cobble stone streets that are part farm road, some grass, gravel, loose rocks all on road bikes. Heck just the other day I went for a ride and took a "short cut" through a farming road that was all dirt and gravel.

Anyhow...yeah, the limited road tires for 26" is tough and I think your bike would look so much better with 650b!

It's called A Sunday in Hell for a reason, but I agree, @synchronicity's bike needs larger wheels in order to justify continued residence within this particular thread. I speak as someone who is no stranger to riding 26ers with slicks.

Looking for a 90's black PC Nitto Dirt drop (now has a shitty adjustable steerer) , also the brown Brooks Conquest (non PC) is replaced with a black one.
Also looking for a PC Nitto seat post, I own all the original parts when I would sell it. But yeah nah yeah nah nah, not gonna.

Purchased the original bike in 1991, and rode it to bits traded it in for the 2002 blue model and hated that one.
Got my hands on a near perfect specimen in '21 and it will never leave my house (yes I store it in my living room)
Shown it a couple of of times but I do not care, it's a beaut'

My Checker Pig CPXC05:

CheckerPig-SundayStem - 1 (15).jpeg

I love these old hybrid/trekking/whatever bikes, especially when there is enough tire clearance to make it a 29er. This Checker Pig was one of the first bikes I ever built, and I am still messing with it.

A couple of weeks ago the Lady version CPXCL came up locally and I had to get it:

This one will hopefully get finished this weekend.

My 1995 Trek 7900. Top of the line in Trek's hybrid line:

And my 2009 Kona Smoke 2-9:

It's not exactly vintage but its not very different from a vintage bike, and it meets the description of 700c wheels, big tire clearance, mtb like....
There is a bit of a story behind this one... Maybe I'll start a thread documenting it.
