Just wondering as i blast off my pads now and again with my trusty blowlamp,thought eck might do the same.

Though chances are the damage was caused at the top of a drop off

Looks like there has been a bit of long term water penetration & corrosion between the backplate and braking surface.

the pads are only a couple of months old , there still like new on the outsides :? i'll get a pic to show you after ma tea
