?? This bike is WAY too small for you Retro!

the frame is quite deceiving. one of the first things i said when i saw it
was that it was a small frame. but it's a 19". almost a bit on the too large size for vintageman. :D

Are you sure it's a 19....that top tube is pretty short. Not to mention....sloping. I'd say it was a 17 or 17.5 at most.

My apologies!
Actually I think it would make it about 22.5 to 23" (I was reading 22.5" actual for some reason, yep who knows why  )
That's about 18.5" frame size (at least in the later frames)

edit:
If it was a 22.75" effective (bearing in mind them forks are altering it a touch longer )
It would be the stock 19" frame size, of course these are customised bikes though so may not be stock.

So anyway, I think that means it would fit me ;)

wha… another one???

with the longer than usual extended seat tube (a la Blizzard) it would probably fit one size smaller in the RM range. so an equivalent to a 17-18" I'd say… so my SIZE! :D

The 22" c-c along the tube is fairly typical for a Rocky size 19 as they tend to be slightly shorter than some other makes. Essentially it's a size 18 the way other makes would design, but with that extra inch on the end of the seat tube. I don't really know what it's there for actually - it doesn't enable you to use a shorter seat post, as you still need the insertion to go beyond the weakened area where the top tube meets the seat tube (especially as it's been TIG welded).

I always assume that Paul Brodie must have inspired the basic shape of the bike while he was there, even though he had long gone by this time and was by then inspiring Joe Murray to make Konas a similar shape.

Always wondered that myself. Maybe better for keeping mud/water out?
