Retrobike Touring.

Looks a nice setup you have there. I didn't spot the brown bag it was camouflaged..
I fancy a small tent myself for the darker months , but would need to coin out
for ti pegs as my old pig iron pegs weight a ton..

I’ve got a tiny old but lightly used old but quality one man jobbie you could have cheap.

If you’re interested I can drag it out of the loft.

Re:

My North Face tent is supposed to be a 2 man, but you'd have to be very friendly and there's very little room outide the main compartment in the "porch", so I put my gear down one side and have only ever used it as a 1 man tent.

It's over 20 years old, weighs about 2.5kg and was one of the lighter tents available at the time, but you can get them much lighter now, not cheap though: https://www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk ... elters-c25

I can’t think where on earth you got that notion from

I bought the Berghaus Peak 3.1 tent, got it on offer at Millets in July for £63 I think. It's a 1 man, weighs 2kg, and I found it easy to put up. If you're over 6ft though it could be a bit cramped (I'm 6' 2" and found I couldn't stretch out without pushing the sides out of it - not great if it's raining).

Was hoping to get another overnighter in before the weather turns but I'm struggling for time at the moment and fear that the night's are getting colder and darker already.

If I was looking for a Retro Steel rigid bike for dipping my toe into touring, not fully laden like some of you are doing but just an overnighter or 2.

What would peoples recommendations be ?

(I Karma'd a lovely Univega Frame recently that would have been ideal  )

What size frame do you need?

I may have the perfect bike for you and it'll not break the bank. Actually you won't need to go to the bank, you could probably buy it from pocket change.
