Raleigh ???? commuter machine - tidy up and ride.

just gone and bought another road bike :facepalm: its starting to get addictive :facepalm:
this one was purchased for a massive £30 from the local carpet shop, just as they were closing :facepalm:
it seems to work - somewhat OK and will do for commuting to work tomorrow.
I need to get all that horrible paint off - see if theres anything left underneath. don't know what model or year it is, so any help appreciated on that. ill probably just give it a quick coat of paint to make it look a little better but for now, going to make some adjustments and get some bar tape to replace the electrical tape.

will be getting a new wire brush tomorrow and getting most of it off.

callipers are gold but cranks silver.
black paint underneath.. need to get more of the blue off.
its ALOT lighter than anything else ive ever owned.

I'll save you the agony, it's what's left of a Record Sprint. Give us some (in focus!) closeup shots and we'll give you the year and what bits are wrong. I'm guessing it's an 83, going off the fork crown.
