R.I.P Bryncrug AKA Martin Evans

Re: Re:

So sad, as a husband, father, brother and son I cannot imagine what the family are going through with such a sudden loss.

With regards to finishing off the Overbury's I will be discussing this with David (a very close friend of Martin and fellow push bike fanatic). I have no idea how long this will take but would be very special to have it at his funeral.
I am sure many would be willing to donate any parts that are needed if a wanted ad is put up. You only get out of a forum what you put in, and Martin put in a lot.

Re:

What a tragedy. As with others I didn't have any direct contact but his is one of those very familiar names from spending time on here - one of the great characters who make it such a great place.

Ride in peace Bryncrug!

Re:

I've only just spotted this thread.
I'd only recently got to 'know' Martin through the selling of my Overbury's to a friend of his.
He was a gentleman to deal with and kept chipping away at me when I was considering selling the bike I bought after selling the Pioneer.
I didn't know about the loss of his arm until I'd risked upsetting him with my comments after breaking my own wrist in March.
My usual thick skinned nature missed all of the hints until finally the penny dropped...I was mortified that I could have seriously upset such a nice bloke.
Martin simply laughed it off!
We'd stayed in touch via pm throughout my recovery, and he was always interested in how the healing process was coming along.
I've just managed my first rides these past few days and was planning on sending him some pics of me out on the Jamis that he helped persuade me to keep.

I am completely shocked by this news and would like to pass on my heartfelt condolences to his family.

Re:

I'm mortified he was a top bloke & I was going to meet him soon to pick some stuff up he was holding.
We were in regular pm touch up till last week & I thought it strange him not answering pm's.

My thoughts are with his wife and Charlie who he was incredibly proud of.

Heavenly trails Martin

Tony

Didn't personally know Martin but read with interest how he engineered to overcome his disability to continue what was obviously his passion. Very sad to hear this news. RIP Martin.

Carl.

Re:

Away from the site for a while and back to hear of this awful news.

My deepest condolences to his family. My thoughts are with you.
