R.I.P Bryncrug AKA Martin Evans

Re:

I've been trying to think for hours what I could say that would sum Martin up and I can't.

It's such sad news that I still can't believe its true. I only spoke to Martin the other day.

Rest in piece Martin and my thoughts are with his family.

When the time is right somebody should finish of the Overbury's. I think he would like that.

Re:

Very shocked and saddened to hear this. Obviously a very well liked chap. Its such a real shame and i can only feel for his family.
God bless.

Re:

Dear All,

My name is Gareth Evans, I am Martin's brother.

Firstly I wanted to say thank you for simply being there for him. He was completely obsessed with restoring his bike and I really truly believe this forum gave him some sanctuary from the daily pain he experienced.

Lucy (his wife) has a very large retro magazine/book/file, which I believe may have been discussed on this forum? If not I will provide to someone I know or keep for his son when he's a little older, but I guess if it was discussed I would like to know who to bring it to. I live in London but happy to travel where ever is needed as I believe this is what he would of wanted.

With regards to finishing off the Overbury's I will be discussing this with David (a very close friend of Martin and fellow push bike fanatic). I have no idea how long this will take but would be very special to have it at his funeral.

As you can understand, the words of support are very much welcomed at this incredibly tragic an immensely difficult time.

Many thanks

Gareth

So sad. That picture is a real choker and certainly reminds you of the important things in life.

I never met or dealt with Martin, but can imagine, like a lot of you out there, he was a top bloke to know. He obviously had taste - given his choice of build.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.
