Do it!!! They are amazing fun, and I reckon a lot of the skills translate well to trail riding too. Have you got some good ones around you then? The recent crop of velo solutions ones around the UK all seem to be excellent.
That's a lovely GT btw. I mean, it makes my back hurt just looking at it, but I'll bet it absolutely rips on the tracks
You're never planning 20+ miles on the GT? Respect if so!!!
Be interested to hear how you get on at the track. IMO you can't really beat a 20" BMX on the track itself (as long as your back can handle it lol), but a small frame 26" bike is a lot more versatile.
LOL, no, 2 miles would kill me and just thinking of 20 nearly finished me off! Will have to be a drive and ride unfortunately but at least I should be able to get to A&E more quickly when I run out of talent.
