Thanks so much for offering these up @MCA4President . I have some slightly earlier skewers with the non-italic font so going to hold out for matching clamp, Although not sure how hopeful I am of one coming up anytime soon.

I have to wonder though, would Z1 Drop off lowers not suit better, being green? (might be too much green then though lol)

Yep thinking it might be a bit too much green. Always liked forks to be a contrast and in my nostalgic world I just love the iconic orange for the Z1s of this era. Built them up last week so will upload a few pics shortly and you can let me know thoughts.

Stumbled on this forum, thought I was the only one riding the original Chameleon now.
Nice to see one been brought back again. Mine has a lot of the original retro parts, including the sachs grip shift.
You have done a nice job on the frame, be following with interest.

Thanks @Wobbles. Great to see another Chameleon still being enjoyed! Looks great! We’re going to have to get them all together for a group ride in 2024!

That would be great, took this bike out to the Eastern Algarve on the dusty trials of Santa Luzia this year, where it felt right at home, and was a lot fun. And that's what I think theses bikes were designed for back then in the late 90s, to adapt it how you won't to ride it, in your case a jump bike and have fun. I've Had more serious down hill bikes all through the 90s which have long gone. The only thing with this bike which is worthwhile mentioning is that it doesn't like the mud, the clearance between the rear tyre and the rear frame, is not much, specially at the top tube, tried to show in the pictures what I mean on my bike.

I think you've done a great job on the frame, and it's going to make a great jump bike. Look forward to seeing it when it's done.
